High Frequency Words

Did you know that these 109 words comprise 50% of the words found in children’s texts.

*Words 1-13 make up 25% of the words in children’s texts.

In our district our goal is that Kindergarten can read the first 13 words fluently by the end of kindergarten. 

Our goal for first grade students is that they can read 109 words fluently by the end of first grade.
