Mrs. Ward grew up in New Hampshire and moved to the South in 1994 to attend college. She graduated from Columbia Bible College in 1998 and married her husband Rod. They moved to Mississippi where they lived for 10 years. Mrs. Ward taught first and second grade in Mississippi for 7 years.  In 2008, they moved to Berry, Alabama. She has taught first and second grade at Berry Elementary School for 7 years. She is currently in her 11th year at BES teaching third grade. She lives in Berry with her husband, Bro. Rod Ward, their four children- Seth, Josh, Luke, and Leah, and their pets.  She also has a very special church family at Berry Baptist Church, and she really enjoys living in the community of Berry.
