Hello!
I am excited to be teaching 5th and 6th grade science at Hubbertville. I have been teaching since 2010 and Science is my favorite subject! Previously, I was the gifted specialist for Fayette County, grades 3 - 8 for five years. Prior to that, I taught 4th grade science at FES, along with other subjects as needed for four years. It's great to be back in the classroom once again. I am especially thrilled to be teaching science. I even went to Space Camp for educators as a 4th grade teacher! Outside of school, I am married and have four giant fur babies (They are catahoula bulldogs. Shhh! They don't know they're dogs.) I also help students outside of school at Eaves Karate, so there is a good chance you will find me there on a given day. My husband and I attend church at Cornerstone Baptist in Winfield. I am always ready and willing to help any student that is willing to try. If you have questions, I use Remind or you can email me. JSmith@fayette.k12.al.us
I'm looking forward to a great year! Go Lions!!
