I have been an elementary teacher for 25 years with experience in preschool, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. I am a graduate of Fayette County High School, Brewer State Junior College (Bevill State now), and Jacksonville State University. I have a BS degree in Early Childhood &  Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Elementary Education. 

I am married to Michael Youngblood, have three children (Jessica, Jacob, & Joshua), and four grand children (Hannah, Oliver, Parker, & Emma).  We own Turker Creek Farm where we raise cows and chickens. I love to spend time with my family, cook, read, and swing on my front porch.

I enjoy all kinds of music, especially 80's! Soome of my favorite books include Freak the Mighty, Where the Red Fern Grows, Harris and Me, The Twighlight Series, cookbooks, as well as my Southern Living magazine.
