• My name is Ms. Kathryn Stowe and I currently serve as the Mental Health Service Coordinator for the Fayette County School System.  I 'm a Fayette County High School graduate and a 2009 graduate of The  University of Alabama  receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Development and African Studies.  I continued my education at Amridge University where I received my Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2013.  I have been working in the  mental health field for 12 years, working with adults, adolescents, and children.  I started my career as a Mental Health Counselor,  working with Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center as a Substance Abuse Counselor.  I moved to Atlanta, GA and after receiving my Master's degree, I worked as a Social Service Counselor in a short-term acute hospital.  In 2015, I returned home to Fayette and took a position with Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center Jasper, AL as the Adult Outpatient Therapist.   I later transferred to the Vernon office, where I held the positions as Adult Outpatient Therapist, Basic Living Skills Coordinator, and Adult In-Home Intervention Coordinator.

I am the founder of Broken But Restored Ministry and The Real Talk Counseling Service. I love spending time with family, friends, reading, and traveling to different parts of the world.

Next year will be my fourth year working for the Fayette County Board of Education. I'm here to support students, adults, faculty, and staff.  If I can help in anyway, please email me at kstowe@fayette.k12.al.us or by calling (205) 932-8071
