Mrs. Fortner grew up in Fayette, Alabama and graduated from Fayette County High School in 2006. She grew up knowing that she wanted to become a teacher and decided to pursue a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama. In December 2011, Mrs. Fortner graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. In August 2017, she graduated with a Masters in Special Education from the University of West Alabama.  During her 9 years at Berry Elementary School she has taught 2^nd grade, 3^rd grade and Special Education grades 4^th-6^th. She loves being a part of the Berry Elementary family.

Mrs. Fortner married Casey Fortner on June 22, 2013. They have two little boys whose names are Cameron and Cade. Cameron is 8 years old and Cade is 5 years old. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and playing with her dogs.
