• Courses offered in the Fayette County High School Agriscience Education Department vary each year. Each year the three core classes will be offered including: Introduction to Agriscience, Intermediate Agriscience, and Advanced Agriscience. Yearly rotating class options include: Animal Science, Landscape Design and Management, Vet Science, Equine Science, and Agriculture Construction. 


    Topics and subjects exlpored in these classes include:

    - Public Speaking 

    - Leadership 

    - Parliamentary Procedure 

    - Construction framing and equipment use

    - Metal working and welding (MIG, SMAW, Oxy-Gun, Plasma Cutter)

    - Woodworking skills 

    - Implementation of practical math skills and competencies 

    - Animal husbandry and care 

    - Livestock exhibition 

     

    FFA Activities: 

    FFA Dues are $25.00 annually and allow for your student to participatte in any of the Career Development Events (CDE) of their choosing. Students are offered various leadership opportunities through the FFA Organization. Some of our FFA activities include:

    - Prepared Public Speaking LDE

    - Creed Speaking LDE

    - Quiz Bowl LDE

    - Agricultural Mechanics CDE

    - Small Engines CDE
