Mr. Sebastian Dobbins

Mr. Sebastian Dobbins serves as the director of bands at Fayette County High School.

Mr. Dobbins is a graduate of Ocean Springs High School in Ocean Springs, MS.  For his undergraduate studies, Mr. Dobbins attended Troy University.  While at Troy University, Mr. Dobbins was a member of the Sound of the South Marching Band, Symphony Band, Collegiate Singers, and Concert Chorale.  He also studied private conducting, composition, and marching band drill design.  Following his time at Troy, Mr. Dobbins attended The University of Alabama to pursue his Master's degree.  At The University of Alabama, he was a member of the Symphonic Band and Chamber Choir.   He also worked as an adjunct staff member for The University of Alabama’s Million Dollar Band working marching and music rehearsals and assisting in gameday and performance operations. 

In his tenure, Mr. Dobbins has been a successful part of numerous performances, parades, contests, concerts, and Music Performance Assessments (MPA) in lower Alabama.  He is also an accomplished music arranger and drill writer for numerous schools in the area. 

Sebastian is happily married to his wife, Jillian, who is a visual fine arts teacher in Brookwood.
