Darrell Thomas is the Principal for Berry Elementary School. Mr. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Concord University in West Virginia in 1989.  He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in 1993 from Concord University. In 1996, Mr. Thomas relocated to Auburn, Alabama and worked as a graduate assistant with The Auburn Football Team as a videographer.  In 1998, Mr. Thomas graduated from Auburn University with a Masters in Elementary Education. In 1998, he also began his career in education as an elementary teacher and coach in the Phenix City School System. In addition to Phenix City School System, Mr. Thomas also held teaching and coaching positions in Russell County and Auburn City from 2000-2006.  In 2005, he obtained his Administrative Certification from Auburn University. In 2006 Mr. Thomas relocated to Fayette County as a physical education teacher for Berry Elementary and coach for Berry High School. In 2007, Mr. Thomas was named Assistant Principal at Berry High School. In 2008, Mr. Thomas transferred back to Berry Elementary School as an Assistant Principal.  He remained in that position until he was named Principal of Berry Elementary in May 2016. He is currently serving as Principal of Berry Elementary School and Head Softball Coach at Berry High School. Mr. Thomas is married to Natalie Nichols Thomas and has 3 children: Taylor, Jonathan, and Bailey.

Danyell Hudson is the Assistant Principal for Berry Elementary School.  Ms. Hudson earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from the University of Alabama in 2001.  She also earned her Masters and Ed.S in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. In 2007, Ms. Hudson earned her certificate in Administration also from the University of West Alabama.  Ms. Hudson began her teaching career in Dallas, Georgia teaching 3rd grade.  Ms. Hudson taught 3rd grade at Matthews Elementary, 2002-2004, before beginning her career with the Fayette County School System in 2004 as a 6th grade teacher at Berry Elementary.  In 2007, Ms. Hudson transferred to Berry High School as the Guidance Counselor.  Ms. Hudson returned back to Berry Elementary in 2016 as the Assistant Principal.
