I have been an elementary teacher for 31+ years with experience in preschool, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. I am a graduate of Fayette County High School, Brewer State Junior College (Bevill State now), and Jacksonville State University. I have a BS degree in Early Childhood & Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Elementary Education. 

I am married to Michael Youngblood, have three children (Jessica, Jacob, & Joshua), and five grandchildren (Hannah, Oliver, Parker, Emma, & Ellie).  We own Youngblood Cattle Farm, where we raise beef cattle. I love to spend time with my family, cook, read, and swing on my front porch.

I enjoy all kinds of music, especially the 80s! Some of my favorite books include Freak the Mighty, Where the Red Fern Grows, Harris and Me, cookbooks, as well as Southern Living magazine.
