Mrs. Jennifer Sanford
Jennifer Sanford is the principal at Fayette County High School. Mrs. Sanford attended Fayette Elementary School, Fayette Middle School, and graduated from Fayette County High School in 1995. She attended Bevill State Community College and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Alabama. She later pursued a Master’s Degree and administrative certification in Instructional Leadership from The University of West Alabama.
Mrs. Sanford knew from an early age that she wanted to pursue a career in education. As a high school and college student, she started gaining hands-on experience by seeking employment with child care centers. After completing her student teaching positions at Huntington Place Elementary School, in Northport, Alabama she was awarded her first certified teaching position. Mrs. Sanford believes that being given the opportunity to work collaboratively with teachers that were always striving to improve their teaching craft helped to instill in her the same desire, continuous growth and improvement. In 2005, after 5 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Sanford transferred (HOME) to Fayette Elementary School. While being an employee of the Fayette County School District, she has filled the positions of classroom teacher, instructional coach, and currently serves as an administrator at Fayette County High School.
