  • Dear Parents,

In an effort to help close the achievement gap, Fayette Middle School has made some changes to our schedules.  If your 7th and 8th grade student(s) began the year with a study hall class or library aid time, that has changed to a Math Intervention class.

During this time, your child will be participating in a new program that our county has started using called Imagine Math, and your child will be required to pass one short lesson per day.  Each lesson has the option to ask for live help on the computer with an Imagine Learning teacher.  Students are also able to do guided practice before the post-test.  If students fail any lesson, they can redo it.  As long as students pass their five lessons per week, they will receive a grade of 100.  Each lesson is worth 20 points per week.  If your child passes only 4 of the 5, they will receive an 80 that week.

As always, we are striving to better educate our children here at FMS and provide them with the help that will make them successful learners.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

    Sincerely,

    Ron Hannah, Principal
